 KSOW is 106.7 FM, Cottage Grove. Created by Cottage Grove area residents to serve our local community. We offer the people of Cottage Grove a medium to address their needs and interests on educational, economic, cultural, social, spiritual and recreational topics, as well as providing an alternative source for a variety of enjoyable music.
KSOW operates under a low-power frequency modulation (LPFM) license. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) created this type of radio license in January 2000. Licenses are available to non-commercial educational entities but not to individuals or commercial (for profit) operations. KSOW primarily reaches residents in and around Cottage Grove. We strive to offer our visitors and our community a broader perspective on the experience of life in Cottage Grove. Community radio is designed to benefit the community it serves. KSOW provides media access to residents and organizations outside the scope of commercial broadcasting.
KSOW is always looking for help in creating, producing, and underwriting (sponsoring) our programs. If you are interested in volunteering at the station pleasecontact us . There are also opportunities for local businesses and individuals to contribute to community radio by producing and/or sponsoring programming. Please contact us or fill out the Program Proposal form if you are interested.
Remember, community radio is nothing without the support of the community it serves.
KSOW operates solely on donations under the supervision of Aprovecho Research Center , also located in Cottage Grove.
